These are free online resources designed by book lovers, for book lovers.  

Book Page

A helpful site loaded with book reviews and author interviews. Coverage includes best-sellers, literary fiction, romance, history and science fiction among others. 

Good Reads

A Book Lover's Dream! A Social Networking site that allows you to share your favorite books and recent discoveries with like-minded readers, while also picking up recommendations and selections from them.  You have to create an account to get started, but accounts are free and easy.

Overbooked

A site that's mission is to "provide timely information about fiction (all genres) and readable nonfiction for ravenous and omnivorous readers."

    Comics Worth Reading

    An excellent multi-author blog that is filled with reviews of graphic novels, independent comics, manga, comics by women and much more. 

    Genrefluent

    A well-regarded, long-running site that contains a treasure trove of useful information and recommendations for book lovers of every type and taste. Genrefluent has a really well-done Teen Page as well as fantastic sections devoted to Crime and Speculative Fiction.

    Sci-Fi Lists

    Lists of the most popular and acclaimed science fiction books ever written as well as book reviews, reviews by subject and excellent recommended resources list

    Stop, You're Killing Me! 

    A self-described "resource for lovers of mystery, crime, thriller, spy and suspense books." The site has Read-Alikes as well as a Character Index.
