Welcome to the GDS Library FAQ page!  Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions on research and resources.  Check the tabs at the top of this page for specific questions.

General FAQ

When is the library open?

The library is open during building hours.  During the week this is generally 6am-9pm.  Weekends and holiday hours vary.

I need to take a test in the library.  Where do I go?

Test proctoring is held in the library classroom, next to the librarians' office.  You can take a test before and after school (with the exception of Wednesday after school) and during class periods.  Please note there are no tests proctored during mini breaks, lunch and advisory.

When I am using a library database at home, where do I find the passwords?

Each database has an individual off-campus username and password.  You can find the list here (you will need to sign in with your MyGDS login).  If you experience any issues, please let us know!

Where are the textbooks?

Class textbooks are kept in the library office and are for in library use only.  You may check them out for use between 8am-4pm.
